Tropical Jerk Sauce
Approx. 8 oz
ingredients:
Base sauce
- ½ cup passion fruit pulp
- ¼ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup honey
- 1/8 cup molasses
- 1/8 cup water
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp jerk spice blend
Finishing components
- 1 tsp jerk spice blend
- 2 tbsp passion fruit pulp
- 5 orange habeneros (fire-roasted, peeled, deseeded, finely diced)
- Combine the base sauce ingredients in a sauce pan over medium-low heat. Simmer until reduced by 20% (to about 1 cup).
- Cool for 10 minutes then whisk-in the finishing components.
- Transfer to a bottle or jar and refrigerate.
